Terms of Service
Last updated: February 22, 2026
What you're buying
The $67 payment purchases one Making Pattern assessment and one personalized report. This is a one-time payment. There is no subscription. Your report remains accessible at its unique URL indefinitely, and a PDF is delivered to your email.
The assessment may only be taken once per payment. If you believe there was an error in your assessment results, email hello@makingpattern.com to discuss options.
Refund policy
Because the assessment produces a personalized report immediately upon completion, we generally do not offer refunds once the assessment has been taken.
If you experienced a technical error that prevented you from completing the assessment or receiving your report, email hello@makingpattern.com and we'll make it right.
Your report
Your report is personal to you. You may share it freely. The unique URL and PDF are yours to keep and distribute as you wish. We only ask that you don't represent others' reports as your own.
The report content (narrative text, framework descriptions, Growth Map guidance) is copyright Making Pattern. You may quote brief passages with attribution, but may not reproduce the full report content in commercial contexts without permission.
Accuracy and limitations
The Making Pattern assessment is a statistical instrument based on paired comparison and the Bradley-Terry model. Like all behavioral assessment tools, it measures tendencies, not absolutes. Your pattern is an estimate derived from 40 choices. The confidence intervals are real, and context matters.
The assessment is not a diagnostic tool for clinical, medical, or therapeutic purposes. It is not a substitute for professional coaching, career counseling, or psychological assessment.
We make no guarantee that the report will be accurate for any particular purpose. Use your own judgment in applying the insights to your specific context.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- ·Attempt to circumvent payment to access the assessment
- ·Reverse-engineer the assessment methodology to reproduce it commercially
- ·Use automated tools to interact with the assessment interface
- ·Share your assessment session link with others to let them complete your assessment
Limitation of liability
Making Pattern is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and limit liability to the amount you paid for the assessment. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
